Left Turn

Reverb Ranch is taking a temporary left turn, stylistically at least.  We’re happy to provide a digital home for legendary Noisik collective Sonic Messiah’s comeback release.

Sonic Messiah were active in the experimental/noisik scene between 1995 and 1998.  They released 4 cassettes: Noisik, SpaceBabyMonkey,Truck, and Pig Knows that are highly sought after by those in the know.  Though mostly a non touring act, the group did perform twice bringing their quirky songs to life with a larger than life group of friends and fans.    A limited edition The Vest of Sonic Messiah was released by the now defunct Broke Records.  Sonic Messiah was described as Negativland meets Tom Waits meets They Might Be Giants meets Pluderphonics meets ???

The two founding members, St. Ohm & Artie, are collaborating again after  14 years spent recharging their collective batteries.  In that time they have collaborated on several projects under several different aliases.

Recently they have been collaborating on an exclusive art gallery show: visuals (Artie) and soundtrack (St. Ohm). A digital release of the music will be available from Reverb Ranch on the 13th of October.

This is the dawning of a new era

There is no end to progress….
